The annual Frederick County Building Industry Association (FCBIA) Home Show will be on Saturday, March 18 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday, March 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Frederick Fairgrounds -- in about five heated buildings for the comfort of guests and vendors alike.

Featuring more than 160 exhibitors in a variety of industries, this local Home Show offers an opportunity to meet with experts in heating, cooling, air conditioning, plumbing, and more. Guests will also learn about the newest products and services in different trades that are available to add comfort and value to your home.

“From kitchens and baths to closets and garages; from roofing and siding to decks, hot tubs and landscaping, the [FCBIA] Home Show offers exciting ideas and useful information to turn your dreams into reality,”
according to their website. This year’s show will emphasize eco-friendly building and sustainability.

Experienced Warner Service technicians will be in attendance, demonstrating the Air Scrubber by Aerus, a programmable thermostat, and air handlers in a pretend living room. There will also be a shower and toilet for a plumbing demonstration in a pretend bathroom, and outdoor air conditioning units in a faux outdoor area for maintenance tips.

There will also be a laundry machine, the Laundry Pro®, water softener, furnace, evaporator coil, humidifier, constant pressure wall pump, two types of water heaters, and return drop duct in a basement/mechanical room set-up.

Lastly, we will also be giving away an Apple Watch® Series 2 to those who left positive online reviews earlier this year. To find out how you can win one next quarter, click here.

The FCBIA Home Show will also “welcome the students in the construction trades program at the Frederick County Public School's Career & Technology Center for Builder Olympics, one of the Show's special attractions.”

At Builder Olympics, visitors can watch as CTC students show off their talents related to the various construction trades. Prior-year events “showcased everything from outdoor living enhancements to energy efficient products -- all in the hopes of boosting the local economy,” according to Your4State.com.

"Our hope is to stimulate the economy and get people out…[looking] at all of the new products and services that can add comfort and value to their home," said Denise Jacoby, executive director of the FCBIA, in a 2015 interview.
